ESMA Publishes Updated Statistical Data On Credit Rating Agencies

ESMA today makes available the updated set of semi-annual statistical data on the performance of credit ratings including transition matrices and default rates. This new set of statistics covers ratings data up to 31 December 2011 and is available  available through the Central Rating Repository (CEREP).

The Board announces that after trading hours on 15 June 2012, HKEx, HKEx Investment (an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of HKEx) and LMEH entered into the Framework Agreement setting forth the terms of a recommended acquisition for cash of the entire issued ordinary share capital of LMEH by HKEx Investment by way of a scheme of arrangement and a capital reduction to be effected under the Companies Act. Pursuant to the terms of the Framework Agreement, HKEx has also issued a press release which is available on its corporate website atwww.hkex.com.hk.

The board of LME Holdings Limited ( “LME Holdings”), the parent company of The London Metal Exchange Limited (“LME Limited”), announces that on 15 June 2012, LME Holdings, HK Investment (UK) Limited (“HKEx Investment”) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEx”) entered into a framework agreement regarding the terms of a recommended cash offer (the “Offer”) for the entire issued and outstanding ordinary share capital of LME Holdings by HKEx Investment, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of HKEx (the “Transaction”) (the “Framework Agreement”).

On January 4, 2012, Tokyo Stock Exchange Group, Inc. and Osaka Securities Exchange Co., Ltd. filed a notification to the Japan Fair Trade Commission in relation to their business combination in accordance with the Anti-Monopoly Act. Both companies submitted reports, etc. based on a request for such by the Japan Fair Trade Commission on February 3, and all of such reports, etc. were accepted today.
