  • United States District Court Southern District Of New York - United States Of America V Rajat K. Gupta, Defendant - Sentencing Memorandum And Order - Rajat K. Gupta Sentenced To 24 Months’ Imprisonment, Concurrent On All Counts, To Be Followed By One Year Of Supervised Release

    The Court is called upon to impose sentence on Rajat K. Gupta, who on June 15, 2012, was found guilty by a jury of one countof conspiracy and three counts of substantive securities fraud, in connection with providing material non-public information to RajRajaratnam.  Federal law requires a court to state, not only orally but in writing, its reasons for imposing a sentence “different from”a Guidelines sentence. 18 U.S.C. § 3553(c)(2).  See also United States v. Rattoballi, 452 F.3d 127, 128-29 (2d Cir. 2006). This willbe a non-guidelines sentence, and, accordingly, the Court will both read this Sentencing Memorandum in open court and docket it promptly thereafter.

  • DTCC Extends Analytic Reporting For Annuities With Zip Code Detail To Deliver Enhanced Territory Management

    The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announces that it has extended its online Analytic Reporting for Annuities information service to provide details on activity in the market for annuity products by zip code. The added feature, Territory Management, provides the what, where and how of annuity market activity and enables users to track and benchmark their firm’s performance and market share in any zip code or combination of zip codes, allowing subscribers to focus their marketing and sales efforts more effectively.

  • ISDA To Further Develop CCS, The Clearing Connectivity Standard, In Conjunction With Sapient Global Markets

    The International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) announced today its support for the Clearing Connectivity Standard (CCS), an industry standard that helps improve over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives reporting and communication for asset managers, futures commission merchants (FCMs), central counterparties (CCPs) and custodians.  To further the development of this work, ISDA will work with Sapient Global Markets, which initially developed the standard in collaboration with the largest custodian banks and leading FCMs, to provide program management, governance and industry oversight.

  • S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes To The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

    S&P Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:

    The shareholders of Guide Exploration Ltd. (TSX:GO) have accepted the share exchange offer from Westfire Energy Ltd. (TSX:WFE) whereby Guide Exlporation Ltd. shareholders will receive 0.4167 shares of Westfire Energy Ltd for each share held. Guide Exploration Ltd will be removed from the S&P/TSX SmallCap and Equity SmallCap Indices effective after the close of Friday, October 26, 2012. Following the acquisition of Guide Exploration Ltd., Westfire Energy Ltd. will change its name to Long Run Exploration Ltd. and its ticker symbol to LRE. The relative weight of Long Run Exploration Ltd. will increase in the same indices to reflect the issuance of shares as part of the acquisition of Guide Exploration Ltd.
