BME To Distribute The Second 2012 Interim Dividend For €50 Million On 27 December - It Represents A Gross €0.6 Per Share

BME will on December 27^th distribute the second interim dividend to the value of €50 million, that is, a gross €0.6 per share, the same as that distributed in 2011.

As announced earlier today, IntercontinentalExchange and NYSE Euronext have put in place a definitive agreement for ICE to acquire NYSE Euronext in a stock-and-cash transaction. The acquisition combines two leading exchange groups to create a premier global exchange operator diversified across markets including agricultural and energy commodities, credit derivatives, equities and equity derivatives, foreign exchange and interest rates. Attached is a spreadsheet provided by the Futures Industry Association (FIA), which shows the ranking of the top 30 derivatives exchanges based on the number of contracts traded in January to October of this year. There is also a sheet with a comparison of the derivatives markets within NYSE Euronext and IntercontinentalExchange.

The DIFC Authority announces today that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, has enacted four Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Laws. These Laws are the Employment Law Amendment Law (DIFC Law No. 3 of 2012), Real Property Law Amendment Law (DIFC Law No. 4 of 2012), Data Protection Law Amendment Law (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2012), and Non-Profit Incorporated Organisation Law (DIFC Law No. 6 of 2012).

A Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP) team led by the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) visited the European Union (EU) during November 27–December 13, 2012, to conduct a first-ever overall EU-wide assessment of the soundness and stability of the EU’s financial sector (EU FSAP). The EU FSAP builds on the 2011 European Financial Stability Exercise (EFFE) and on recent national FSAPs in EU member states.
