The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announces that on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, the CFTC’s Technology Advisory Committee (the “TAC” or “Committee”) will hold a public meeting at the Commission’s headquarters in Washington, DC from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The meeting will focus primarily on issues related to swap data reporting. It will also include updates on the implementation of an industry-led technology solution to protect customer funds, and compliance with certain requirements imposed under Part 1 of the Commission’s Regulations.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has fined EFG Private Bank Ltd (EFG) £4.2 million for failing to take reasonable care to establish and maintain effective anti-money laundering (AML) controls for high risk customers. The failings were serious and lasted for more than three years.
