ESMA Registers ICE TVEL And CME TR As Trade Repositories

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has approved today the registrations of two further trade repositories (TRs) under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). The following entities have been registered as TRs for the European Union (EU):

• ICE Trade Vault Europe Ltd. (ICE TVEL), based in the United Kingdom; and
• CME Trade Repository Ltd. (CME TR), based in the United Kingdom.

New Trading Hours At Bucharest Stock Exchange

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) announces that starting January 3rd, 2014,   BVB will extend the trading program for the following financial instruments of the regulated spot market:  shares, fund units and rights. The trading session at Bucharest Stock Exchange will end at 18:00.

Eurex: BofA Merrill Lynch And Goldman Sachs Join EurexOTC Clear For Interest Rate Swaps - Current Total Of 21 Clearing Members

Two of the world’s largest financial institutions, BofA Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs, have become clearing members of EurexOTC Clear for Interest Rate Swaps (IRS). By joining this new central counterparty (CCP) for over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives, the clearing members and their clients will be able to expand their preparations for the impending OTC clearing obligations in Europe.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Retail Investor Convicted Of False Trading

The Eastern Magistrates’ Court today convicted Mr Pak Wing Yiu, a retail investor, after he pleaded guilty to 10 counts of false trading in the shares of Huabao International Holdings Limited (Huabao). The court adjourned sentencing to 12 December 2013.
