A landmark report by the Centre of Economics and Business Research (Cebr) on behalf of CoinInvest.com and its sister company Silver-to-go reveals that silver has heavily outperformed most other asset classes since 2000. Indeed, the research shows that £10,000 invested in silver would have yielded £23,000 return between 2000 and 2014, compared to a return of just £6,000 from the same investment in the FTSE 100 Index and a yield of £5,717 from the FTSE Euro 100 Index over the same period.

Bank Of England: Monetary Policy In An Uncertain Economy - Speech By Ian Mccafferty

Speaking to a breakfast event organised by the Institute of Directors, Ian McCafferty explains his view of the competing risks that he thinks about when setting monetary policy. Between August and November, unlike most Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) members, he has voted for a rate rise. He explains that his voting reflects a different assessment of the risks facing the economy, compared with most other MPC members. But he also stresses that his vote in the December meeting will be revealed on 17 December – his comments today reflect his thinking up to the November Inflation Report and not necessarily December.

HKEx: Listing Nominating Committee Extends Application Period For Listing Committee Candidates

The Listing Nominating Committee has extended the application period for nominations to Listing Committee to 31 December 2014 from 12 December 2014. The Listing Nominating Committee is now seeking applications from individuals interested in serving on the Listing Committee and the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) Listing Committee[1]. Appointments will be for a term of approximately twelve months commencing in May/June 2015. In previous years the Listing Nominating Committee invited applications in the first quarter of the year. For the appointments to be made in 2015 the Listing Nominating Committee intends to interview short-listed candidates before making appointments and consequently it is necessary to begin the application process earlier.
