Nowruz Holidays At Tehran Stock Exchange

Tehran Stock Exchange will be closed from 21st to 25th March 2015 for the New Iranian Year. Nowruz marks the first day of spring and beginning of the year in the Persian calendar. It is a big holiday in Iran and in other Persian speaking countries.

REGIS-TR has submitted their application to the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) to become a Registered Reporting Mechanism (RRM) in order to ensure the required coordination and consistency in monitoring activities under Regulation (EU) on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT). The regulation aims to provide transparency and reduce market abuse and manipulation by facilitating the reporting of financial derivatives, spots and orders in the wholesale energy market.

ESMA Sees Increased Convergence In Automated Trading Supervision

The supervision of automated trading has become more convergent across the European Union (EU), a recent review by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has found. ESMA reviewed how the 30 national competent authorities (NCAs) across the EU have implemented ESMA guidelines on automated trading into their day-to-day supervision of trading platforms. The Guidelines set out systems and controls requirements for investment firms and trading platforms operating in an automated trading environment.

The London-based central counterparty (CCP) ICE Clear Europe and the international central securities depository (ICSD) Clearstream Banking S.A. have launched a new collateral management partnership which enables clearing members to use their assets held at Clearstream to manage their margin requirements.

HKEx, LME And Borsa İstanbul Agree Partnership

The London Metal Exchange (LME) and Borsa İstanbul A.S. are entering into two agreements under which (i) Borsa İstanbul will acquire the LME’s stake in clearing house LCH.Clearnet, and (ii) Borsa İstanbul, the LME and the LME’s parent company Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) will partner on the dissemination of market data.

Futures Industry Association (FIA) Asia today held its annual derivatives conference in Dubai in conjunction with Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) and Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC). The conference was attended by more than 200 market participants, which included representatives from global exchanges, broker members and traders from all over the world.

GMEX Group announces strategic appointments to support the business as it continues to grow.
Sandy Broderick has been appointed as Non-Executive Director (NED) to the Boards of GMEX Technologies Limited (GMEX TECH); Global Markets Exchange Group Limited (GMEX) which operates GMEX Exchange; and Global Derivatives Indices Limited (GDI). Sandy, most recently CEO of DTCC Deriv/SERV, brings 25 years’ derivatives experience in trading and post-trade infrastructure to the team. He joins Lamon Rutten as an independent NED on all three Boards and will serve as Chairman of GMEX with Lamon becoming Chairman of GMEX TECH and Hirander Misra continuing as Executive Chairman of GDI.
