    • ASIC’s enforcement priorities in the superannuation sector in the coming year run along three key themes: member services failures; misleading conduct, including greenwashing; and failures to protect superannuation balances.
    • These reflect areas of genuine harm ASIC is seeing through intelligence and surveillance and should serve as fair warning to the sector as to where it needs to lift performance.
    • Superannuation fund board chairs are in a powerful position to impact outcomes for members and ASIC is calling on them to be proactive in placing members at the heart of day-to-day operations or face possible regulatory attention. 

  • SGX Group Reports 1H FY2024 Net Profit Of S$251 Million

    Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) today reported 1H FY2024 adjusted net profit of S$251.4 million (S$236.8 million). Adjusted EBITDA rose to S$344.6 million (S$334.1 million), while adjusted earnings per share increased to 23.5 cents (22.2 cents).

    • ASIC is concerned with how differences in market intermediaries’ approach to pre-hedging can disrupt fair competition and the effective functioning of markets.
    • Market intermediaries should always carefully consider their obligations under Australian law and applicable international codes and standards when undertaking pre-hedging.

  • Tokyo Stock Exchange: NAGANO SECURITIES Co.,LTD. Joins As A Broker To Provide Connection To CONNEQTOR

    Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) launched the RFQ (Request For Quote) platform, CONNEQTOR, in February 2021 with the aim of improving liquidity in the ETF market. We are pleased to announce that NAGANO SECURITIES Co.,LTD. will join as a broker to provide connectivity to CONNEQTOR from February 1, 2024. And they will participate as a broker specializing in services on behalf of use of CONNEQTOR, so investors will be able to use the service by phone. This brings to 19 the number of brokers that offer CONNEQTOR to institutional investors.
