Thomson Reuters Reports Full-Year And Fourth-Quarter 2014 Results

Thomson Reuters (TSX / NYSE: TRI) today reported results for the full year and fourth quarter ended December 31, 2014. The company achieved its 2014 Outlook and today provided a business outlook for 2015. Increases in earnings and profitability in both periods reflect lower charges (described below) than in the prior-year periods.

The first month in the year 2015 was shaped by 15 January when historic highs were reached. With 949'988 trades and an overall trading volume of CHF 27.7 billion both figures were six times higher than the prior year's daily average. The previous records stood at 392'587 trades (9.8.2011) and a trading volume of CHF 27.4 billion (1.3.2007).

As part of an investigation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Ryan Tony Willmott (DOB: 17/01/1982), aged 33 from Reading, formerly Group Reporting and Financial Planning Manager for Logica PLC, appeared today (11 February 2015)before Westminster Magistrates’ court in respect of three offences of insider dealing, contrary to Sections 52(1) and 52(2)(b) of the Criminal Justice Act 1993.
