Nodal Exchange Announces Launch Of 40 New Power Futures Contracts To Serve Participants In The SPP Market

Nodal Exchange, LLC has introduced 40 new power futures contracts to support trading in Southwest Power Pool (SPP). The new contract offerings are based on 17 locations in SPP and one interface location between MISO and SPP. Nodal Exchange will offer monthly term day-ahead on-peak and off-peak contracts for all of these locations, as well as real time on-peak and off-peak contracts for the two SPP hubs (North Hub and South Hub). These are the first SPP futures contracts offered by Nodal Exchange and the first futures contracts to be offered by any exchange on 16 of the 18 new locations.

The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) and its Chief Investment Officer Ted Eliopoulos have been awarded the 2015 Asset Owner Award for Public Defined Benefit Plans above $100 Billion by Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Magazine. The award was presented to Eliopoulos Thursday evening during the magazine's sixth annual Industry Innovation Awards at the New York Public Library.

ESMA Seeks Retail Representatives For Its Corporate Finance Consultative Group

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has recently appointed a new Consultative Working Group (CWG) for its Corporate Finance Standing Committee (CFSC). However, in order to achieve the desired membership balance, ESMA is reopening its call for candidates who are representatives of retail investors or representatives of retail users of financial services. The deadline for applications is 3 January 2016.
