Investor Activity On GPW Group Markets – August 2017

• Increase of the value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book^[1] on the GPW Main Market by 18.5% YoY to PLN 18.3 billion
• Increase of the average daily value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book to PLN 830.2 million (+18.5% YoY)
• Increase of the volume of trade in derivatives by 4.6% YoY to 521.4 thousand contracts
• Increase of the value of bond issues listed on Catalyst by 9.1% to PLN 86.1 billion
• Increase of the volume of spot and forward transactions in gas by 129.1% YoY to 17.4 TWh
• Increase of the volume of trade in property rights to certificates of origin by 20.3% to 3.6 TWh[2]

The total value of trade in equities on the Main Market was PLN 18.5 billion in August 2017, representing an increase of 18.3% year on year. The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book increased by 18.5% year on year to PLN 18.3 billion and the average daily value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book stood at PLN 830.2 million in August 2017, an increase of 18.5% year on year. The WIG index stood at 64,973.76 points at the end of August 2017, representing an increase of 35.5% year on year.

The total value of trade in equities on NewConnect increased by 15.6% year on year. The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the GPW alternative market was PLN 102.5 million, an increase of 3.2% year on year.

The total volume of trade in derivatives was 521.4 thousand contracts in August 2017, representing an increase of 4.6% year on year. The volume of trade in index futures was 302.3 thousand contracts in August 2017, representing an increase of 9.1% year on year.

The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 86.1 billion at the end of August 2017, representing an increase of 9.1% year on year. The value of trade in non-Treasury bonds on the Electronic Order Book on Catalyst decreased by 13.5% year on year to PLN 187.3 million.

The total value of trade in bonds on TBSP was PLN 38.7 billion in August 2017, representing an increase of 12.8% year on year.

The total volume of transactions in gas was 17.4 TWh in August 2017, representing an increase of 129.1% year on year. The volume of trade on the spot market decreased by 8% and stood at 0.8 TWh. The total volume of spot and forward transactions in electricity was 6.4 TWh in August 2017, representing a decrease of 32.2% year on year. The volume of forward transactions in electricity decreased by 39.8% year on year to 4.5 TWh in August 2017.

The volume of spot and forward transactions in property rights to certificates of origin excluding the rights to certificates of energy efficiency (“white certificates”)^[3] was 3.6 TWh in August 2017, representing an increase of 20.3% year on year. The volume of trade in property rights to certificates of origin of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) was 18.8 ktoe^[4] in August 2017 compared to 33.5 ktoe in August 2016.

The capitalisation of 432 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 683 billion (EUR 160.26 billion) at the end of August 2017. The total capitalisation of 484 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market was PLN 1,408.9 billion (EUR 330.59 billion) at the end of August 2017.

The companies Scope Fluidics, Biztech Konsulting, Nextbike Polska and Aquatech were newly listed on NewConnect in August 2017. The total value of their IPOs was over PLN 33.4 million.

Bonds of the company Vivid Games (EUR 10.5 million) were newly listed on Catalyst in August 2017.
