The Federal Reserve Board on Friday proposed a rule to address the risk associated with excessive credit exposures of large banking organizations to a single counterparty. As demonstrated during the financial crisis, large credit exposures, particularly between financial institutions, can spread financial distress and undermine financial stability.

The BM&FBOVESPA Institute and BrazilFoundation announced on March 3rd with the symbolic ringing of the opening bell at BM&FBOVESPA, the projects that will compose the portfolio of the Social and Environmental Stock Exchange (BVSA) in 2016 (available at www.bvsa.org.br). At the event, a report was also published on the fundraising by the organizations listed in 2015, being the result of the first year of the partnership between BVSA and BrazilFoundation.

Trading value in the equity market (BOVESPA segment) totaled BRL 115.43 billion in February compared with BRL 99.65 billion the previous month. Average daily trading value was BRL 6.07 billion, vis-à-vis BRL 5.24 billion in January. Total volume reached 17,491,499 from 17,571,751 the previous month. Average daily volume was 920,605 (924,829 in January).
