The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) sets monetary policy to meet the 2% inflation target and in a way that helps to sustain growth and employment.  At its meeting ending on 11 May 2016 the MPC voted unanimously to maintain Bank Rate at 0.5%.  The Committee also voted unanimously to maintain the stock of purchased assets financed by the issuance of central bank reserves at £375 billion.

Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX) has planned to launch the new rubber futures product “RSS3D Futures” with physical delivery available at the expiration of the futures contract, enabling investors and entrepreneurs in rubber industry to effectively utilize the new products for risk management to meet their needs. The new rubber product will start trading on May 16, 2016.

Four exchanges experienced double digit growth in April. JSE led the way with a 14.9% rise, closely followed by BM&F Bovespa with 14.7% and TMX group on 14.4%. The other double digit exchange was Dubai Financial Market with a 12.5% rise.
