Chamber Of Digital Commerce Names DTCC's Mark Wetjen To Board Of Advisors - Market Infrastructure Technology Provider Also Joins Chamber’s Executive Committee

Today the Chamber of Digital Commerce (“Chamber”) announces the appointment of Mark Wetjen of The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (“DTCC”) to its Board of Advisors. In addition, DTCC has joined the Chamber’s Executive Committee. Mr. Wetjen currently serves as the Head of Global Public Policy at the DTCC, the world’s leading post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, processing nearly $1.5 quadrillion worth of securities transactions in 2015. Prior to DTCC, Mr. Wetjen served as Commissioner at the U.S. Commodity and Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

BSO, the global Ethernet network, cloud and hosting provider, announces the company is adding Financial Cloud to its service portfolio to provide a unique and fully-integrated low latency network and cloud offering specifically engineered for the global financial community. The build will include the key FX marketplaces of London, New York and Tokyo with a presence in Equinix LD4, NY4 and TY3. The project will initially focus on LD4, with the plan to be fully functioning in Q4 2016.

According to TABB Group, block trading volume for asset managers rose to 19% in 2015, surpassing levels last seen in 2009 due to changes in investment strategies, access to new liquidity sources and new block trading methodologies. The ability to trade blocks is a critical part of trading strategies and leveraging an integrated workflow through an execution management system (EMS) and order management system (OMS) is essential for the buy-side. The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has publicly censured Bank of America, National Association (BANA) and Merrill Lynch International (MLI), units of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Group (BofAML Group), as a result of their failure to disclose dealings in relevant securities in two transactions (Transactions) in 2015 as required under the Code on Takeovers and Mergers (Takeovers Code).

In partnership with Dow Jones, SWIFT will now make high-quality Dow Jones Risk & Compliance data available to the more than 2,500 correspondent banks and funds players that are already using The KYC Registry as part of their know your customer compliance programmes.
