Boerse Stuttgart Generates Turnover In Excess Of EUR 5.5 Billion In September - Equity Trading Volumes Considerably Higher Than In 2016

According to its order book statistics, Boerse Stuttgart generated turnover of more than EUR 5.5 billion in September 2017. In equity trading, the order book turnover was more than EUR 1.3 billion, representing an increase of about 9 percent compared with the previous year. The turnover in German equities was EUR 954 million. The trading volume of international equities was almost 5 percent higher than in August, at EUR 378 million.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) announced today that the consortium which they are leading has successfully developed software prototypes of three different models for decentralised inter-bank payment and settlements with liquidity savings mechanisms.

The research papers focus on enabling financial institutions to get ahead and stay ahead of their cyber adversaries by providing a better understanding of the actors involved, examining a means to effectively share threat information, and establishing common terminology to allow meaningful discussions between industry stakeholders.

Moving forward, Cinnober will market its subsidiaries using a new Group profile. This will more clearly position the offering toward the respective market segments and showcase the synergies within the Group. At present, the Group has three separate subsidiaries with the following focus areas: reporting services, client clearing and market surveillance. The first subsidiary to change its profile is Boat, which in conjunction with the tenth anniversary of its founding, is being rebranded as Simplitium. The remaining two subsidiaries will be re-profiled in forthcoming quarters in conjunction with industry events.

CME Group Launches Wednesday Weekly FX Options

CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced it is launching Wednesday Weekly FX options (Wednesday options) due to customer demand and significant growth in existing Weekly FX options, which expire on Friday. Wednesday options will be available in premium quoted and volatility quoted European style options with a 2 p.m. CDT fix on five major currency pairs: AUD/USD; GBP/USD; CAD/USD; EUR/USD; JPY/USD. Wednesday options will be available for trading and clearing on October 30, 2017, pending regulatory approval.
