The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) issues today its Technical Advice to the European Commission (EC) on how to improve the Short-Selling Regulation (SSR). 

Final Settlement Prices For MOEX USD/RUB, EUR/RUB And CNY/RUB Futures Contracts

On 21 December 2017, final settlement prices were determined for MOEX FX futures contracts:

• Si-12.17 – RUB 58,562 per USD 1,000,
• EU-12.17 – RUB 69,557 per EUR 1,000,
• CY-12.17 – RUB 8.9061 per one yuan. 

SIX Swiss Exchange Obtains Temporary Status As An “Equivalent Third-Country Trading Venue”

On 21 December, the EU Commission decided to recognize the equivalence of the Swiss legal and supervisory framework for trading venues with that of the EU for a temporary period of one year. The decision allows European securities traders access to the Swiss market even after the new European financial market rules enter into force in January 2018. As a result, European securities traders will be permitted to trade Swiss equities on the Swiss domestic market in the coming year as well.

The European Commission has adopted a decision to recognise trading venues in Switzerland as eligible for compliance with the trading obligation for shares set out in the new Markets in Financial Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID II/MiFIR), which will apply in the EU as of 3 January 2018.

Borsa İstanbul's bell Rings For TÜBİTAK Marmara Teknokent Cooperation

A cooperation agreement was signed between Borsa İstanbul and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Marmara Teknokent A.Ş. in order to strengthen the technological, entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem in Turkey, within the scope of the fields of activity and targets of the two institutions. AIAF Admits To Trading The New Social Bond Of Barcelona City Council - With A Value Of €35 Million

AIAF, the Fixed Income Market of BME, today admitted to trading the new social bonds issued by that Barcelona City Council for a total amount of €35 million. The issue is part of the mandate granted to Crédit Agricole CIB by the City Council's Governing Commission to advise, structure and place one or several debt issues, for a maximum amount of €86.1 million. The bonds have a term of 10 years (their final maturity is December 2027) and their an annual coupon is 1.921%.
