ACER ENTSO: The Network Codes For The Energy Union - Joining Forces On Implementation

“Fairer prices and more choice for European energy consumers”, this is the goal of the energy liberalisation and market integration. Network codes, jointly developed by the European Commission, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the European Network for Transmission System Operators for gas and electricity, (ENTSOG and ENTSO-E), with the key involvement of stakeholders, provide European answers on technical and market issues. By the end of 2017 they will all be adopted. It is time to look into achievements but also the implementation and monitoring challenges. A joint conference is organised in Brussels to celebrate this common achievement and to discuss the next steps.

New JSE-Listed AMI Big50 Ex-SA ETF Offers Pan-African Investment Opportunities - New ETF Offers Investments Across Multiple African Exchanges

On April 20, 2017 the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listed the Big50 Ex-SA ETF to give investors access to a new index that offers a diversified investment of 50 companies across the African continent, excluding South Africa, through 15 African stock exchanges. The ETF is offered by investment firm Cloud Atlas Investing, a Johannesburg based Collective Investment Scheme.

Deutsche Börse Cash Market: Happy Birthday To The FinTech Hub!

Deutsche Börse's FinTech Hub in Frankfurt is celebrating its first birthday. Four financial sector start-ups officially moved into the hub at the beginning of May 2016, and have been based there rent-free ever since. The hub offers 450 m2 of space in the up-and-coming Ostend area of Frankfurt, close to the trendy Berger Strasse. The Deutsche Börse Venture Network staff is on hand to consult the FinTech companies and provide them with contacts.

INVESTBANK‘s Dividends Increase By 25% To JOD10 Million In 2016, Compared To 2015

Headed by the Chairman Bisher Mohammad Jardaneh, INVESTBANK’s general assembly approved in its 34th ordinary meeting the board’s recommendation to distribute JOD 10 million, or 10% of profits in cash dividend to shareholders for 2016. Dividend yield equals 6.7% of the share’s price as of December 31, 2016, and an average of 6.2 %for the past six years, bringing the total dividend distributed to shareholders during the last six years to JOD 48 million.
