The FMA has previously notified that during its initial inquiries into Forestlands it identified $18 million which Forestlands said was to be paid to investors. We note that investors, who are shareholders in the Forestlands companies, had expressed concerns about Forestlands, how the assets were sold and how they would receive their share of the proceeds.

1. Contents of the Recommendation

The Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission, today, made a recommendation to the Prime Minister and the Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency that an administrative monetary penalty payment order be issued in regard to insider trading of the shares of SUNCORPORATION (“SUNCORP”) by an individual investor residing abroad, who concludes a contract with SUNCORP, pursuant to Article 20(1) of the Act for Establishment of the Financial Services Agency. This recommendation is based on the findings of the investigation into the insider trading, whereby the following violations of laws and ordinances were identified.

The Federal Reserve Board will publish the July 2017 Monetary Policy Report to the Congress at 11 a.m. EDT on July 7, in order to allow members of Congress and the public time to review the report in advance of Chair Yellen's scheduled testimony on July 12. Chair Yellen's opening statement will be released at 8:30 a.m. EDT on July 12.
