  • Nasdaq, Inc. Prices $500,000,000 Senior Floating Rate Notes Offering

    Nasdaq, Inc. (the “Company”) (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced that it priced a public offering of $500,000,000 aggregate principal amount of U.S. dollar-denominated senior floating rate notes due 2019 (the “Offering”) with an interest rate equal to the three-month U.S. dollar LIBOR plus 0.39% per annum.  The Offering is expected to close on September 22, 2017, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Catherine McGuire, Counsel in the Division of Trading and Markets, is retiring after 44 years at the SEC.

  • EBA: Discussion On The Significant Risk Transfer In Securitisation

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on its discussion paper on significant risk transfer in securitisation. This work builds on the EBA’s monitoring activity of supervisory practices in the area of significant risk transfer, which the Authority started in 2014 with the publication of the EBA Guidelines on this topic. The discussion paper aims at seeking stakeholders’ views on how to further harmonise the regulation and supervision of the risk transfer through securitisation. The EBA’s proposals are based on the newly agreed European securitisation legislation. The consultation runs until 19 December 2017.
