CME Group Inc. Announces Third-Quarter 2017 Earnings Release, Conference Call

CME Group Inc. will announce earnings for the third quarter of 2017 before the markets open on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Starting this quarter, the company will be streamlining the earnings release process by posting slides and written highlights for the quarter on its website at 6:30 a.m. Central Time, the same time it provides its earnings press release. The company will continue its practice of holding an investor conference call that day at 7:30 a.m. Central Time, at which time company executives will take analysts' questions. This new approach is designed to provide more information to analysts and investors in advance of the call, as well as to allow more time for questions and answers.

European Banking Authority Publishes Guidance To Further Harmonise EU Banks Internal Governance

The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published today its revised Guidelines on Internal Governance. These Guidelines aim at further harmonising institutions' internal governance arrangements, processes and mechanisms across the EU, in line with the new requirements in this area introduced in the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD IV) and also taking into account the proportionality principle. Effective internal governance is fundamental if individual institutions and the banking system as a whole are to operate well.

CFTC Approves Delegated Authority Provisions For Designated Contract Markets

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today adopted final rules delegating authority to CFTC staff, under the agency’s system safeguards rules, to notify each designated contract market (DCM) annually of whether it is a “covered DCM” as that term is defined in CFTC Regulation 38.1051(h)(1).
