    Trading – Cash Markets (including equities, interest rate and warrant trades)

    • In November 2018, the average daily number of trades was 17% higher than the pcp. The average daily value traded on-market of $4.7 billion was up 11% on the pcp. 
    • Volatility (as measured by the average daily movement in the All Ordinaries Index) was 0.6% in November down on the previous month 0.7%. 
    • Expected future volatility (as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 VIX) in November was an average of 16.2 (compared to 16.4 in October).

  • Dubai Financial Services Authority Signs MoU With Bank Negara Malaysia

    The Dubai Financial Services Authority (“DFSA”) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the country’s central bank, to cooperate in the authorisation and supervision of banks and insurers operating in both markets.

  • Shanghai Stock Exchange: Cluster Wisdom And Power To Strengthen Financial Quality Education

    To implement the arrangement and requirement of "urging the inclusion of investor education into compulsory education in developed areas" by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) organized the 1st Joint Exhibition of National Investor Education Base of Securities Companies and also the Seminar on Teenagers' Financial Quality Education on November 25, 2018, on the occasion of co-organizing the Shanghai High School Students' Economic Forum. Officials from Pudong New Area (Shanghai), relevant departments of the Shanghai education system and the SSE were present. Among those taking part in activity were over 300 people including teachers, students, experts and parents from 25 schools including Shanghai Dongchang High School, representatives from the investor education bases of 19 SSE members, and several mainstream media like CCTV (China Central Television) and CBN (China Business Network).
