Good evening. Thank you to John Bryant and Operation HOPE for inviting me today to open the HOPE Global Forums. I commend our hosts for bringing together such an impressive group of speakers and attendees, diverse in their perspectives, yet all of whom share the vital goal of advancing economic opportunity and inclusion. It is fitting that this event is being held on the 50th anniversary of several notable events, including the publication of Dr. Martin Luther King's last book, Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community, which urged unity in order to create equal opportunity, and the enactment of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which enshrined our nation's commitment to equal access to housing. These milestones remind us of the progress we have made to date as well as the challenges that remain, and inspire us to persist in our efforts.

At the end of the settlement date of March 15, 2018, short interest in 2,331 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 7,230,277,603 shares compared with 7,052,302,122 shares in 2,345 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of February 28, 2018. The mid-March short interest represents 3.96 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.72 days for the prior reporting period.

CalPERS' Board Incumbents Notice Intention To Run For Re-Election - Seats Represent State, School, And Public Agency

The first step in the CalPERS Board Election process took place today when the official Notice of Election was released, announcing the intent of three current board members to seek re-election. The three seats up for re-election are occupied by Theresa Taylor (state); Rob Feckner (school); and Priya Mathur (public agency). Their four-year terms expire on January 15, 2019.

Stockholms läns landsting (Stockholm County Council) has listed a SEK 1bn green bond from its €4bn EMTN Programme on the Main Securities Market (MSM) of the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE). The green bond has a maturity date of November 2023 and an interest rate of 1% per annum.

In a judgment handed down today, the High Court found that Capital Alternatives Limited, Renwick Haddow, Marcia Hargous, Robert McKendrick and others should pay a total of £16.9m in restitution for their roles in four unauthorised collective investment schemes (CIS’s) which were unlawfully promoted to the public by false, misleading and deceptive statements.
