HKEX: Scrip Dividend Scheme In Relation To The Final Dividend For The Year Ended 31 December 2017 - Calculation Of Market Value

At HKEX’s annual general meeting held on 25 April 2018, the Shareholders approved the payment of the Final Dividend, as recommended by the Board, which will be payable in cash with a scrip alternative to the Shareholders whose names appeared on HKEX’s register of members on the Record Date.  Pursuant to the Scrip Dividend Scheme and subject to the terms set out in the Circular, the eligible Shareholders have the right to elect to receive the Final Dividend in New Shares instead of in cash, or partly in New Shares and partly in cash.

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has commenced proceedings in the Market Misconduct Tribunal (MMT) against Magic Holdings International Limited (Magic) and its nine directors for failing to disclose inside information as soon as reasonably practicable on the potential acquisition of its issued shares by L’Oréal S.A. (L’Oréal), a French cosmetics group in 2013.

Today in this fascinating and beautiful country, we are joined by our friends to witness the milestone of Sino-Bangladesh capital market cooperation. Friendship between China and Bangladesh dates far back in history and has been time-honored. Stories of our friendly exchanges along the Southern Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road throughout the millennia are still being told today. Eminent Chinese monk Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty travelled to what is now Bangladesh and recorded his experience in the book “Great Tang Records of the Western Regions”. Here is what he wrote. “It is a harmonious and orderly society. Its people are prosperous, industrious and eager to seek knowledge.” Zheng He, an ancient Chinese navigator of Ming Dynasty visited Bengal twice. According to his description, “Shops line the street next to each other, and all goods imaginable are available”. Since ancient times, Chinese travelers and navigators have viewed Bengal as a blessed land of milk and honey. We can see the peoples of the two countries have long-term interactions and deep relationship.

Deutsche Börse Partners With Leading FinTechs To Launch FinTech Acceleration Platform

Deutsche Börse Group and its post-trade services provider Clearstream will partner with Germany-based FinTech figo and Luxembourg-based RegTech start-up Finologee to create a common FinTech Acceleration Platform. The launch is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2018, subject to regulatory approval.

Khairul Hossain of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, Li Guangjun, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Jianjun, President and Chief Executive Officer of SZSE, Pan Xuexian, Chair of Supervisory Board of SSE, and representatives of Bangladesh’s financial sector, SZSE, SSE and DSE attended the ceremony.
