- The average daily turnover for the first five months of 2018 was $130.3 billion, an increase of 73 per cent when compared with $75.3 billion for the same period last year.
- The average daily turnover of derivative warrants for the first five months of 2018 was $19.9 billion, an increase of 90 per cent when compared with $10.5 billion for the same period last year.
- The average daily turnover of CBBCs for the first five months of 2018 was $8.2 billion, an increase of 95 per cent when compared with $4.2 billion for the same period last year.
- Total funds raised for the first five months of 2018 was $161.7 billion, an increase of 28 per cent when compared with $126.6 billion for the same period last year.
- There were 93* newly listed companies for the first five months of 2018, an increase of 55 per cent when compared with 60* for the same period last year.

Shanghai Stock Exchange: Business Rules For Railway Bond Released, Propelling Expansion Of Diversified Financing Channels, Keeping Serving China Railway Construction

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) issued the "Notice on Relevant Matters over Listing and Trading of China Railway Construction Bond" (the "Notice" for short), which has specified the issuing, listing and circulation, information disclosure and continuous management for China railway construction bond (the railway bond for short). The move aimed to implement the strategic cooperation agreement between China Railway Corporation and the SSE, well prepare for the cross-market issuing and listing of the railway bond, expand its investment subjects, optimize the exchange-traded bond market's structure, improve the liquidity of the secondary market of the railway bond, and enhance the capacity of the exchange-traded bond market in serving the real economy.

Launch Ceremony For A-Shares Included In MSCI Held At Shanghai Stock Exchange

Good news has come after 5 years of efforts: A-shares have been officially included in the MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International) Emerging Markets Index as of the market closing on May 31, 2018. It marks the official inclusion of A-shares after the MSCI started to solicit opinions on including A-shares in its Emerging Market Index in June 2013. After the market closing of today, a brief and grand launch ceremony has been held in the trading hall of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), and relevant officials of Shanghai Government, MSCI, the SSE, Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), as well as representatives from about 80 domestic and foreign financial institutions have witnessed another iconic moment of the opening-up of the Chinese capital market. SSE President Jiang Feng, SZSE Vice President Li Hui, and Board Chairman and CEO Henry Fernadez of MSCI delivered a speech, respectively.
