Nasdaq Iceland Welcomes City Of Reykjavik As Its First Green Bond Issuer

Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) today announced that Nasdaq Iceland welcomes the City of Reykjavik as its first green bond issuer on the Exchange’s sustainable bond market. The bond was issued on 17 December and is sized at ISK 4.1 billion with a maturity of 30 years. Reykjavik intends to issue further bonds in the bond class in the coming years and add market making services.

Japan Exchange Group (JPX): Additional Non-Business Days In Connection With New Emperor's Accession To The Throne And Enthronement Ceremony

The government of Japan has promulgated and enforced a decree that designates the day of the new Emperor's Accession to the Throne and the day of the Enthronement Ceremony as national holidays (Act No. 99 of 2018). Accordingly, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc., Osaka Exchange, Inc., and Japan Securities Clearing Corporation have also determined that the following four dates in 2019 shall be non-business days in accordance with their respective business rules and regulations.

To further enhance market institutions’ understanding on the commodity swap business, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) has organized two sessions of training on commodity swap in Shanghai and Shenzhen on December 12 and 13, respectively. About 550 senior managers and business personnel from entity enterprises, commercial banks, securities companies, fund companies, futures companies and risk management subsidiaries took part in the training.

On December 19, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) launched the commodity swap business, indicating that China’s futures exchanges have officially started to play the role of financial infrastructure in the OTC commodity derivatives market, and provide comprehensive services such as the trading registration and settlement for financial institutions and entity enterprises in their OTC commodity derivatives business. The representatives from industry associations, financial institutions and industry enterprises attended the launching ceremony.
