    Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) officially releases relevant business rules for the Basis Trading Platform (the “Platform” for short) on September 23, including the “Measures for Management of Basis Trading Business of Dalian Commodity Exchange (Trial)”, the “Measures forDealer Management of Basis Trading Business of Dalian Commodity Exchange (Trial)”, and the “Measures for Dispute Resolution and Violation Handling of Basis Trading Business of Dalian Commodity Exchange (Trial)”. This Platform is another major business innovation of DCE, and a DCE official has been interviewed on the major business methods and the risk control system of the Platform.

  • The 9th Shanghai Stock Exchange General Assembly Held Recently

    The 9th general meeting of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) was held recently. Convened in an off-site manner, the meeting deliberated on the 2018 work report of the 4th SSE board of governors, the 2018 work report of the SSE president, the 2018 work report of the 2nd board of supervisors, the financial statement for 2018 and the financial budget report for 2019, as well as the proposal for putting off changing the terms of office of the incumbent members of the board of governors, the board of supervisors and the policy advisory committee. The works of the SSE since the beginning of this year was also reported on the meeting. The representatives of 116 members voted on the above-mentioned reports and proposal through the online system.

Bar for inviting me to participate in this important conversation, and for the hospitality extended by our hosts at Reed Smith today.  Bar associations serve a pivotal role in overseeing the practice of law in its many forms.  In that way, they are a fundamental part of civil society, helping to keep the United States of America a nation of free people treated equally under laws that are rooted in our founding principles.  We will spend some time today talking about the importance of principles and their role in carrying out another important task – the proper administration of law by the CFTC and its staff.
