Blockport Launches First Security Token Offering Targeting Retail Investors In Europe

Blockport, the first social crypto exchange, has confirmed that it will launch their Security Token Offering (STO). The first round will take place on 15 April and they are aiming to raise EUR 5M from investors in Europe and the United States. The round is part of Blockport’s wider strategy to raise between EUR 15M and EUR 30M in multiple stages. The security token, Blockport Securities (BPS), represents a depositary receipt or certificate for a corresponding share and entitles holders to applicable dividends payments. It is the first compliant STO targeting retail investors in Europe. The tokens will be issued using Tokeny’s T-REX (Token for Regulated Exchanges) standard.

The Eastern Magistrates’ Court today convicted Mr Chan Wai Chuen, former chief financial officer, company secretary and an executive director of DBA Telecommunication (Asia) Holdings Limited (DBA) for his role in a false or misleading statement in DBA’s announcement in a prosecution brought by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

At the 2019 FOW Derivatives World Asia (FOW DW Asia) held in Hong Kong on April 3, an official of Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) says that smooth operation has been seen in iron ore futures since it ushered in overseas traders, presenting a good start. DCE will continue to optimize relevant systems, accelerate the listing of iron ore options, and gradually roll out more products for the internationalization business upon research.

The negotiations and assessments of a potential transaction are ongoing. The purchase price of 3.5 billion US-Dollar and the imminent signing of binding contracts mentioned in the market speculations are entirely unfounded.

Nadex Product Schedule For The 2019 Good Friday And Easter Monday Holidays On April 19 And April 22, 2019

Nadex will be closed on Friday, April 19, 2019 in observance of the Good Friday holiday. All Weekly contracts listed on Monday, April 15, 2019 will have a settlement date of Thursday, April 18, 2019. Nadex will close at 4:15pm ET on Thursday, April 18, 2019 and contracts listed on this day will expire pursuant to their regular Friday schedule or as indicated in the Holiday Product Schedule Guidelines. The Exchange will reopen at its regular time on Sunday evening for trade date April 22, 2019. No FTSE 100 and Germany 30 contracts will be listed on trade date April 22, 2019. All other contracts will open and close at their regular times. Please refer to the Holiday Product Schedule Guidelines for specific product trading hours.

New York State Department Of Financial Services Denies The Applications Of Bittrex, Inc. For New York Virtual Currency And Money Transmitter Licenses

Today the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) denied the applications of Bittrex, Inc. to engage in virtual currency business and money transmission activity in New York due to failure to meet the licensing requirements of DFS, primarily due to deficiencies in Bittrex’s BSA/AML/OFAC compliance program; deficiency in meeting the Department’s capital requirement; and deficient due diligence and control over Bittrex’s token and product launches.
