  • Japan Exchange Group, Inc. And Consolidated Subsidiaries Consolidated Financial Results For The Nine Months Ended December 31, 2019

    During the consolidated cumulative third quarter (from April 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019), JPX Group recorded operating revenue of ¥87,433 million (decreased 5.0% from the same period of the previous fiscal year (i.e., year on year)), and operating expenses were ¥42,018 million (increased 6.0% year on year). As a result, JPX Group recorded operating income of ¥48,176 million (decreased 11.3% year on year) and income before income tax of ¥48,586 million (decreased 12.1% year on year).

  • Finansinspektionen: Decision Regarding The Countercyclical Buffer Rate

    Finansinspektionen (FI) decided on 29 January not to change the countercyclical buffer rate. The buffer rate of 2.5 per cent, which has applied since 19 September 2019, shall thus continue to apply. The countercyclical buffer guide is set at 0.18 per cent.

    The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) Executive chairman, Mohamed Farid Saleh, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Judge Hossam Sadek, Vice president of the Court of Cassation, to provide specialized training courses for judges of the economic and criminal courts as part of EGX’s program to increase financial literacy awareness.

  • Federal Reserve Issues FOMC Statement

    Information received since the Federal Open Market Committee met in December indicates that the labor market remains strong and that economic activity has been rising at a moderate rate. Job gains have been solid, on average, in recent months, and the unemployment rate has remained low. Although household spending has been rising at a moderate pace, business fixed investment and exports remain weak. On a 12‑month basis, overall inflation and inflation for items other than food and energy are running below 2 percent. Market-based measures of inflation compensation remain low; survey-based measures of longer-term inflation expectations are little changed.
