  • EBA Publishes Guidelines On ICT And Security Risk Management

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today its final Guidelines on ICT and security risk management. These Guidelines establish requirements for credit institutions, investment firms and payment service providers (PSPs) on the mitigation and management of their information and communication technology (ICT) and security risks and aim to ensure a consistent and robust approach across the Single market. These Guidelines will enter into force on 30 June 2020.

    ESMA Chair Steven Maijoor delivered a keynote speech today at the EFRAG Conference on IFRS and regulation in Brussels. He stressed that:

    “The strong capital market orientation of IFRS can be an important factor in building a stronger Capital Markets Union. In order to ensure, and facilitate, broader investor participation in EU capital markets, we need to have a strong equity culture in which the financial reporting system responds to investor demands.”

    The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) Luxembourg, entered into an agreement to cooperate in the development of FinTech. The cooperation framework reflects efforts by both authorities to foster innovation in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), as well as in Luxembourg.
