    The securities regulatory authorities of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Québec, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Northwest Territories and Yukon (the Participating Jurisdictions, or we), after extensive research, analysis, and consultations with the investment industry and investor advocates, are today adopting rules that will lead to the end of deferred sales charges (DSC) on mutual funds.

    I am very pleased to be here today addressing updates to the Commission’s swap data reporting rules (which I will refer to collectively as the “proposal”). I would like to thank the staff of the Division of Market Oversight (DMO) for their efforts over the past several years to advance what I consider foundational to effectuating reforms in the over-the-counter (OTC) swaps market.  I applaud their commitment to adapting these rules, and I am grateful for their attention to incorporating suggestions from my Office. I also would like to thank the Office of the Chief Economist and the Office of General Counsel for their many contributions to ready this rule for consideration today.

    Sage Advisory Services (“Sage”), a fixed income investment management firm, announces that its ESG Intermediate Credit exchangedtraded fund (ETF), “GUDB,” will continue to track the Sage ESG Intermediate Credit Index and operate pursuant to a transparent passively managed strategy. The expense ratio, fund name, and ticker remain unchanged. The Sage ESG Intermediate Credit ETF seeks to replicate investment results that generally correspond, before fees and expenses, to the performance of the Sage ESG Intermediate Credit Index. This press releases retracts the previous releases that discussed various future changes to the structure of GUDB.

    As previously announced, the MIAX will launch a new Equities Exchange.  MIAX PEARL Equities (EPRL) will begin trading in September 2020, pending SEC approval.  In preparation of the launch, details are included below with two corrections from the previous February 14th Alert.  The Blue sheet Exchange Code is 8 (versus 7) and the Blue sheet Requestor Code is 7 (versus 8).

Covering the last quarter of 2019, this edition provides the Agency’s assessment of the operation of different categories of market places and ways of trading, describing the trends in data reporting and collection, as well as statistics regarding market participants, registered reporting mechanisms and transactions on organised market places observed in 2019.

    The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced the filing of a civil enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina charging Winston Reed Investments LLC (WRI)and its vice president and investment consultant, Mark N. Pyatt a/k/a Daniel Randolph, a former North Carolina resident, with misappropriation of customer funds and fraudulent solicitation in connection with a commodity pool.
