    • Supported by positive returns in a broad majority of sectors, countries and factors, the S&P Europe 350® ended April with gains; the benchmark now stands with a double-digit total return for 2021.
    • The S&P United Kingdom outperformed in pound sterling terms this month, however the bulk of the European benchmark’s returns were contributed by French companies, who punched above their weight in April. 
    • Information Technology, Real Estate and Momentum led the way up, while the European Energy and Value segments declined.

    Thank you, Carla [Garrett] and the rest of the Committee members. I look forward to today’s discussion. Panels and discussions at prior Committee meetings have helped me think about ways to ensure that capital is able to reach communities that have previously seen little capital flowing their way. We have heard how most money comes from people within a founder’s own community, so we need both to empower and expand founders’ communities by embracing technology and maintaining open minds. I am going to keep my comments brief because I have mentioned most of these things before, but I continue to believe the following items are part of the solution to the problems you are going to discuss today:

    Good morning. Thank you Chair Garrett, Vice Chair Solomon, and all the committee members for hosting us today. I’m thrilled to meet this committee for the first time. This is my first meeting with any SEC advisory committee, and I’m eager to learn from this distinguished group.

  • ETFGI Reports Assets Invested In Active ETFs and ETPs Reached A Record 329 Billion US Dollars At The End Q1 2021

    ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs and ETPs ecosystem, reported today that Active ETFs and ETPs gathered net inflows of US$13.35 billion during March, bringing year-to-date net inflows to a record US$47.15 billion.  Assets invested in actively managed ETFs and ETPs finished the month up to 3.4%, from US$318 billion at the end of February to a record US$329 billion, according to ETFGI's March 2021 Active ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report, a monthly report which is part of an annual paid-for research subscription service.
