ESAs’ BOA Decides In ESMA’s Favour In The Appeal By Scope Ratings

The Joint Board of Appeal (BoA) of the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs – European Banking Authority, European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, and European Securities and Markets Authority) decided in ESMA’s favour in the appeal put forward by Scope Ratings GmbH (Scope) against ESMA’s decision from May 2020.

The Federal Republic of Germany - Finance Agency recently released its issuance outlook for the Federal Government for 2021. Although the majority of the annual issuance volume in 2021 will be placed via the Federal Government’s conventional money market and capital market instruments, the issuance outlook for 2021 includes two key Green Federal securities. Together with its standard conventional bonds, the Federal Government intends to issue the first 30-year Green Bund in May, as well as a new 10-year Green Bund in September. When the Green German Federal twin security is issued, the conventional bond will be increased by the same amount at the same time.

Moonlight IQ Secures First Client In China

Moonlight IQ, the global finance and technology communications firm, has announced it has secured its first Chinese client, Winner Futures. Winner Futures is a Direct Market Access (DMA) specialist providing high-speed access to the Chinese equities and futures markets. In 2020 Winner Futures engaged Moonlight to develop the messaging, create branding and build a new website. Not only is this the first client in China for Moonlight but it is also the first joint client with Drebbel, the end-to-end FinTech sales services company with whom Moonlight signed a partnership agreement last year.

Invesco Expands Range Of ESG ETFs With “ESG Momentum” In Japan And The Pacific Region

Invesco continues to broaden its ESG ETF offering with the launch of two new funds focussed on listed companies in Japan and the Pacific ex Japan region. The passive, physically invested ETFs are designed to follow the performance of customised versions of MSCI ESG Universal indices. They will use the same methodology as the firm’s existing suite of MSCI ESG Europe, USA and World equity products, which excludes controversial business practices and applies “ESG Momentum” to increase exposure to companies that are actively improving their ESG profile.
