US Federal And State Financial Regulatory Agencies Issue Interagency Statement On Supervisory Practices Regarding Financial Institutions Affected By Tornadoes

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Credit Union Administration, and the state regulators, collectively the agencies, recognize the serious impact of tornadoes on the customers and operations of many financial institutions and will provide appropriate regulatory assistance to affected institutions subject to their supervision. The agencies encourage institutions operating in the affected areas to meet the financial services needs of their communities.

Treasury International Capital Data For October

The U.S. Department of the Treasury today released Treasury International Capital (TIC) data for October 2021. The next release, which will report on data for November 2021, is scheduled for January 18, 2022.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva Appoints Dominique Desruelle As Director Of The Institute For Capacity Development

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva announced today her intention to appoint Dominique Desruelle as Director of the Institute for Capacity Development (ICD). Mr. Desruelle, who is currently Chief of Staff in the Office of the Managing Director, will succeed Sharmini Coorey, whose retirement from the IMF was announced on September 13, 2021. He is expected to take up his appointment on January 24, 2022.

SIFMA Issues 2022 And 2023 Fixed Income Recommendations For Full & Early Holiday Closes In The U.S., U.K., And Japan

SIFMA today issued its 2022 and 2023 holiday recommendations for the trading of U.S. dollar-denominated fixed income securities in the U.S. and the U.K. All 2023 recommendations for Japan are subject to confirmation by the Bank of Japan. SIFMA will confirm its 2023 recommendations for Japan in early 2022.

Today, the Commission is considering the 2022 budget and accounting support fee request for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). I support this $310 million budget and annual support fee request — an 8 percent increase over 2021 — because the PCAOB requires additional resources to perform its work on behalf of the public every day.
