Thank you, Chairman Brown, Ranking Member Toomey, and Members of the Committee. I am pleased to speak with you today about the Financial Stability Oversight Council’s (Council) 2021 annual report. The report is a collaborative effort of the Council member agencies. It is a vehicle for providing Congress and the public with the Council’s collective assessments of potential risks to U.S. financial stability. Today, I will highlight a few topics in the report and provide an update on the Council’s activities since the report’s publication.

Wilshire, a global investment technology and advisory company, today announced that CrossTower, Okcoin, and eToroX have been promoted from ‘watchlist’ to ‘contributing’ exchanges. Contributing exchanges help facilitate price discovery through the FT Wilshire Digital Asset Index Series which now features 38 blended price, multi-coin indexes.

The round was led by global growth equity firm General Atlantic with participation from veteran investors in both the traditional finance and digital asset spaces. Non-Jordanian Ownership In Companies Listed On The Amman Stock Exchange Reached 47.8%, Of Which 37.2% For Institutional Investors

Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) revealed that the value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors at the ASE in April 2022 was JD11.6 million, representing 6.4% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD20.5 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in April 2022 showed a negative value of JD8.9 million, whereas the net of non-Jordanian investments showed a positive value of JD0.05 million during the same month of 2021.
