Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission And Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption Jointly Investigate Suspected Misconduct In Public Office

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today confirmed that a former staff member is one of the three individuals in a case of suspected misconduct in public office brought by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) as a result of a joint investigation which is still underway. The other two defendants are a senior government counsel of the Department of Justice and a registered nurse of the Hospital Authority.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange Issues Infrastructure REITs Periodic Reporting Guidelines To Promote The Quality Of Information Disclosure

On November 29th, under the guidance of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), the Shanghai Stock Exchange issued "Guidelines No. 6 of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on the Application of the Rules for Publicly Offered Infrastructure REITs—Annual Report (Trial)" and "Guidelines No. 7 of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on the Application of the Rules for Publicly Offered Infrastructure REITs—Interim Report and Quarterly Report (Trial)" (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Periodic Reporting Guidelines"). The issuance of Rules is conducive to further improving the construction of the system of duration rules for infrastructure REITs with "assets management" as the core.

After 15 years of sustained efforts to promote transparency and international co-operation in the fight against tax evasion, members of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes (Global Forum), gathering in Asunción, Paraguay, for its 17th Plenary meeting, marked the occasion with a major advance on the implementation of the recently developed Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF). The Plenary meeting was opened by an address from the President of the Republic of Paraguay, Mr Santiago Peña Palacios, and brought over 400 delegates from more than 110 jurisdictions and 13 international bodies together, to reflect on the latest collective achievements, discuss emerging challenges and chart the future of the Global Forum.
