EBA Launches Survey For Banks On The Application Of The Infrastructure Supporting Factor

The European Banking Authority (EBA) today launched a survey for banks on their experiences with the application of the so-called infrastructure supporting factor in accordance with the Capital Requirement Regulation (CRR 2). Besides assessing the application of the supporting factor, the survey aims at providing valuable information on the materiality of infrastructure project loans across EU banks, irrespective of whether credit institutions specialise in infrastructure lending or not. The survey runs until 27 May 2022.

Tradeweb reported record total trading volume for March 2022 of $28.2 trillion (tn). Average daily volume (ADV) for the month was $1.23tn, an increase of 14.0 percent (%) year-over-year (YoY). For the first quarter of 2022, total trading volume was a record $73.1tn and ADV was a record $1.17tn, an increase of 10.9% YoY, with preliminary average variable fees per million dollars of volume traded of $2.93.

ACER Consults On How To Improve Risk Hedging Opportunities On The Bidding Zone Borders Between Finland And Sweden

The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) launches today a public consultation on how to address the insufficient risk hedging opportunities on the bidding zone borders between Finland and Sweden. In its upcoming decision, ACER can request the relevant Transmission System Operators either to issue long-term transmission rights or to ensure the availability of other long-term cross-zonal hedging products that support the functioning of the wholesale electricity markets.
