  • The Central Bank Of Iceland Auctions Repurchase Agreements For 11.8 Billion Kronur.

    The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on September 5 of the standard maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 10.6 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 11.8 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.

    Spain's MEFF (The Spanish Futures and Options Exchange) today officially became the sixth international partner to join the GLOBEX® Alliance linking financial exchanges across the globe. MEFF Chairman Josep M. Basañez signed the agreement today enlarging the global trading link providing access to many of the world's most actively traded financial futures products.

  • Over 14 Million Contracts Traded On Parisbourse Derivatives Markets In August

    Over 14 million contracts were traded on derivatives markets operated by ParisBourse SBF SA in August, representing a 4.5% decline on the previous month and a 6.1% increase on August 1999. Open interest was up 10.4% at 32.9 million lots.
