CME Changes: E-Mini Feeder Cattle Futures Launches On Globex®2 September 19, 2000 Contract Specifications

The CME Contract Specifications pages on the CME's Web site have been updated to reflect the following: Effective on Tuesday, September 19, 9:05 a.m. trading in E-Mini Feeder Cattle futures will be available on the CME's GLOBEX®2 electronic trading system, from 9:05 a.m. (Central) until 1:00 p.m.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that its equity option volume for the month of August reached a record 5,923,531 contracts traded. This represents a 61% increase over the same month last year when 3,680,056 contracts changed hands and a 9% increase over the previous record volume month set in March, 2000 when 5,450,551 contracts changed hands. OM Technology Delivers Its SAXESS System To The Iceland Stock Exchange

OM Technology delivers its SAXESS system to the Iceland Stock Exchange As part of the Iceland Stock Exchange’s participation in the Norex Alliance, the Exchange has signed an agreement with OM Technology for delivery of the SAXESS system for stock and bond trading. Delivery will be completed in the beginning of October and trading will start with the system on October 23.
NYMEX To Increase Margins On Crude, Heating Oil, Gasoline.

The New York Mercantile Exchange will raise the margins on its crude, heating oil and unleaded gasoline futures contracts as of the close of business on September 12. Margins on each of the three contracts will be increased for clearing members to $3,000 from $2,500; for members, to $3,300 from $2,750; and, for customers, to $4,050 from $3,375.
