        Broadcom Corporation, Inc. To Join The Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning October 30, 2000Date 24/10/2000 Broadcom Corporation (Nasdaq:BRCM), of Irvine, California, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Monday, October 30, 2000. Class A Shares of Broadcom will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ). Broadcom will replace Lycos, Inc. (LCOS), which is being acquired by Terra Networks, S.A. (Nasdaq:TRRA).

        The Stock Exchange Of Hong Kong: Acceptance Of International Accounting Standards (IAS) And Generally Accepted Accounting Principles In The United States Of America (US GAAP)Date 23/10/2000 The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (The Exchange) proposes to amend the Exchange Listing Rules of the Main Board:- to allow listed issuers and listing applicants, which have or are to have a primary listing on the Exchange, to adopt IAS; and to allow overseas-incorporated listed issuers and listing applicants, which have or are to have a secondary listing on the Exchange, to adopt US GAAP.

        SWX And Tradepoint Sign Cooperation AgreementDate 23/10/2000 On 20 October 2000, the SWX Swiss Exchange, Tradepoint and the Tradepoint consortium signed in Zurich the set of agreements that will result in the creation of virt-x, the first pan-European blue-chip stock exchange. The new orientation of Tradepoint requires that approval be granted at the extraordinary general meeting of Tradepoint shareholders to be held in mid-November.

        Trading Of Alcatel Optronics Tracking Stock Commences on NasdaqDate 20/10/2000 The Nasdaq Stock Market® announced that shares tracking Alcatel Optronics, the Paris-based division of Alcatel, began trading today under the symbol ALAO. The tracking stock also began trading on the Premier Marché de ParisBourse, France. It is the most recent addition to a growing list of new issues that have joined Nasdaq® this year.

        OM Group: Offer For London Stock Exchange PlcDate 20/10/2000 OM notes the outcome of LSE's EGM held yesterday. There is no comfort from the result for LSE's Board given the split vote, and that only 33 per cent. of the shareholder base voted against the resolution.
