CHX Announces Board Of Governors Election Results

The Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX) yesterday announced the results of the 2000 Board of Governors election held on Tuesday, April 11. The Exchange members elected three new governors and re-elected six governors.

William J. Brodsky, Chairman and CEO of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) was nominated for induction into the Derivatives Hall of Fame. Mr. Brodsky will be honored during a luncheon ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City on Friday, April 14, 2000.

Oct '00 feed wheat and western barley futures established their to-date contract lows during December 1999 and early January 2000, and have generally trended higher since then. Oct '00 feed wheat futures ended the month at $145.50/tonne, up $8.80/tonne from the contract low, and roughly in line with the gains observed in Minneapolis Grain Exchange Dec '00 wheat futures. Oct '00 western barley futures ended the month at $127.30/tonne, $9.10/tonne above the contract low.
Winnipeg Commodity Exchange New Open Interest Records Established In March

New open interest records for futures were established this month. On March 15, total futures open interest reached a record 106,016 contracts. The previous record for total futures open interest was 105,346 contracts set on October 15, 1999. Within that, May canola reached a new open interest record of 36,406 contracts. A new daily pit trade volume record for May canola was also established March 17, at 8,786 contracts. The previous record was 6,767 contracts, established on March 12, 1997.

T-Online Will Be Included To The NEMAX 50 Index On June 19 Trading In T-Online Shares Starts April 17 At 9:30 A.M.- Expanded Capacity For Floor-Trading Systems

The shares of T-Online International AG will be included in the Neuer Markt blue-chip index, NEMAX 50, on June 19 after the next regular index weighting adjustment. The decision was made by the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse on Tuesday. On May 9, Deutsche Börse will decide which company will be dropped from the index to make room for T-Online.
The Stock Exchange Of Hong Kong - Resignation Of Alec Tsui Is Confirmed

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) confirmed today (Wednesday) that Mr Alec Tsui Yiu-wa had tendered his resignation as chief operating officer of the company, and chief executive of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. Mr Tsui will leave on August 1.
The HKEx Chairman Elected And Committee Members Appointed

At the inaugural board meeting today (Wednesday), members voted to appoint Mr Charles Lee Yeh-kwong as Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx). The appointment of Mr Lee as Chairman will take effect subject to the written approval of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong.
