FSB Outlines Next Steps On Climate Roadmap, Following The Finalisation Of The Global Sustainability Disclosure Standards

- The FSB welcomes the publication of the ISSB’s final standards, which will serve as a global framework for sustainability disclosures. Responsibility for monitoring progress on firms’ disclosures will transfer from the TCFD to the ISSB in 2024.
- More generally, work is continuing to focus on improving the availability, quality and cross-border comparability of climate data and to more fully develop conceptual frameworks and metrics for monitoring climate-related vulnerabilities.
- Climate-related risk is increasingly being embedded into risk management and prudential frameworks and capacity building remains an important focus. There is a growing interest in the role of transition plans of financial institutions and non-financial corporates as a source of information for financial authorities to assess micro- and macroprudential risks.
