Total volume of trade on Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. (WCE) for the month of April 2007 was 294,233 contracts representing an increase of 18% from April 2006. This level of total trade is also 30.4% over that recorded last month.

KCBT April Volume 65 Percent Higher Than March - April Also Brings New Membership Sales Record

Kansas City Board of Trade volume traded during the month of April was 65.1 percent higher than March 2007 volume. This increase was fueled by the hard red winter wheat contract, which posted an increase of 63.2 percent more than that traded in March.

NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NMX), parent company of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYMEX), today reported that total operating revenues for the first quarter ended March 31, 2007, rose 47% to $164.2 million compared to $111.7 million for the first quarter 2006. Net income for the first quarter 2007 increased 67% to $56.2 million compared to $33.6 million for the first quarter 2006. The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), one of the world’s leading derivatives exchanges, today announced that April’s total volume was 61,386,684 contracts, an increase of 7 percent compared with April 2006. The International Securities Exchange (NYSE:ISE) today reported that average daily trading volume for equity and index options contracts for April 2007 increased 14.7% to 2.7 million contracts as compared to 2.4 million contracts during the same period in 2006. Total equity and index options volume for the month increased 20.8% to 54.6 million contracts from 45.2 million contracts in the same year-ago period.
