CFTC Applauds Increased Funding Level For The Agency

Today, the President signed into law an omnibus spending bill (H.R. 2764) that includes $112,050,000 for the CFTC for the 2008 fiscal year. SEC Fee Rate Advisory #6 For Fiscal Year 2008

President Bush signed H.R. 2764, the appropriations bill that includes funding for the Securities and Exchange Commission, on Dec. 26, 2007. Accordingly, effective Dec. 31, 2007, the Section 6(b) fee rate applicable to the registration of securities, the Section 13(e) fee rate applicable to the repurchase of securities, and the Section 14(g) fee rate applicable to proxy solicitations and statements in corporate control transactions will increase to $39.30 per million dollars. December 2007 Monthly Preliminary Performance Report Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Indexes

The Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index was up 4.59% for the month of December. The Dow Jones-AIG Single Commodity Indexes for Soybean, Corn, and Sugar had the strongest gains with month-to-date returns of 12.87%, 12.64%, and 11.79%, respectively. The three most significant downside performing single commodity indexes were Zinc, Aluminum and Lean Hogs, which were down 7.13%, 4.25%, and 3.73% respectively, in December.

MICEX Board Decides To Raise The Capitalization Of The National Clearing Centre
