I have been back at the Commission for less than two weeks, after a nearly 15-year hiatus. I am extremely proud to return to the agency that I know is so important to investors and our economy.

After launching its all electronic model for options trading on February 6, 2004, the Boston Options Exchange (BOX) celebrates its five-year anniversary. SEC Announces Start Of $321 Million Fair Fund Distribution To Investors Harmed By Alliance Capital Market Timing

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it has completed the first in a series of disbursements from a Fair Fund that will return approximately $321 million to more than two million investors who were harmed by undisclosed market timing in the Alliance mutual funds complex.
UK's Financial Services Authority Proposes Enhanced Transparency Requirements On Short Selling For All Stocks

In a discussion paper (DP) issued today, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has proposed a general short selling disclosure requirement for all UK listed stocks. The proposals follow a comprehensive review of short selling undertaken since the FSA introduced its temporary ban in September 2008.
