Clearstream’s Activity Figures For July 2009

In July 2009, the value of assets under custody held on behalf of customers registered an increase for the fifth consecutive month and stood at €10.4 trillion. Primarily due to lower equity market valuations and despite an increase in the new issuance of bonds the asset under custody are still 4 percent lower than in July 2008 (€10.8 trillion). Compared to July 2008, securities held under custody in Clearstream’s international business experienced a rise of 5 percent from €5.2 to €5.4
