BM&FBOVESPA Announces July 2009 Market Performance

In July 2009, equity markets (Bovespa segment) traded BRL 107.47 billion, totaling 7,021,826 million trades. In June, total volume reached BRL 112.74 billion, with 7,044,608 million trades. This month’s Bovespa segment highlights include: Ibovespa, which ended July 6.41% higher at 54,765 points; all other indexes also ended the month on positive ground; and the trading volume for the secondary market, counting both the Bovespa Fix and the Soma Fix, totaled BRL 37.74 million, compared to BRL 14.9
