Deutsche Börse Launches Fastest Algo News Feed With Macroeconomic Information - “Alphaflash” Delivers Indicators Into Algorithmic Trading Applications

Deutsche Börse expands its data and news feed offering by launching AlphaFlash, the fastest currently available data feed for machine readable, trading relevant macroeconomic releases. AlphaFlash delivers more than 150 economic indicators from the US, Canada and Europe. Market participants use this data as triggers for their trading algorithms.

Please, be advised that in accordance with the resolution of the RTS’s Board of Directors that was passed in compliance with the Derivatives Rules of RTS, Clause 6.2 the evening trading session on FORTS will start 10 minutes later today, i.e. at 7:10 pm MSK, as today is the expiration day of the front month option contracts.

STOXX Further Expands Strategy Index Series

STOXX Limited, a global index provider and creator of the leading European equity indices, today announced the launch of the STOXX Europe 600 Daily Short Index, as well as 19 new sector indices that will replicate a daily double short investment strategy. The new sector indices are based on the STOXX Europe 600 Supersector Indices, which represent the largest European companies in each of the 19 supersectors as defined by the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB).

In March 2010, equity markets (Bovespa segment) reached a total volume of BRL 148.81 billion, in 9,038,122 trades, with daily averages of BRL 6.47 billion and 392,962 trades, respectively. In February, total volume reached BRL 118.06 billion, 7,355,993 trades, with daily averages of BRL 6.55 billion and 408,666 trades, respectively.
