At the end of the settlement date of September 15, 2011, short interest in 2,295 NASDAQ Global Market^SM securities totaled 7,496,281,312 shares compared with 7,182,656,153 shares in 2,292 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of August 31, 2011. The mid-September short interest represents 4.20 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 2.92 days for the prior reporting period.

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes:

• Intact Financial Corporation (TSX:IFC) has completed the acquisition of AXA Canada. The relative weight of Intact Financial Corporation will increase in the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Equity and Capped Equity, the S&P/TSX Capped Financial, the S&P/TSX Completion and Equity Completion and the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend indices to reflect this issuance of Intact Financial shares. These changes will be effective after close on Monday, October 3, 2011.
