Shanghai Stock Exchange Market Closure Schedule For 2011 Mid-Autumn Festival

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) hereby announces the market closure schedule for the 2011 Mid-Autumn Festival according to the "SSE Holiday Schedule for 2011" (Shang Zheng Jiao Zi [2010] No. 30). It will close from September 10 (Saturday) to September 12 (Monday), 2011 and open for trading on September 13 (Tuesday), 2011.

SEC Approves CBOE Holdings' Proposal To Trade SPXpm - New S&P 500 Index Option Product To Launch On C2, The Company's All-Electronic Exchange

CBOE Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBOE) announced today that the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) has approved its rule filing to launch, on a pilot basis, SPXpm, its proposed new S&P 500 Index option product. SPXpm will be traded on the C2 Options Exchange (C2), the Company's all-electronic exchange.

CFTC Staff Allows Euronext Brussels’ Futures Contract Based On The BEL 20 Index To Be Offered And Sold In The United States

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC’s) Office of General Counsel today announced that it issued a no-action letter on August 31, 2011, permitting the offer and sale in the United States of Euronext Brussels’ (EB) futures contract based on the BEL 20 Index (B20).

Boston Options Exchange Price Improvement Activity Increases In August

In the month of August, price improved contracts on Boston Options Exchange (“BOX”) averaged 366,281 per day, which represented a 79% increase over the same period last year. Price improvement versus the prevailing NBBO for contracts submitted via BOX’s price improvement auction (“PIP”) averaged over $317,000 per day, while total savings to investors this month were $7.3MM. With this, BOX has saved investors over $355MM since its inception in 2004. Overall average daily trading volume on BOX in the month of August was 870,508 contracts, which represented a 148% increase over the same period last year.
