Maple Group Comments On ISS Recommendation To TMX Group Shareholders

Maple Group Acquisition Corporation ("Maple"), a corporation whose investors comprise 13 of Canada’s leading financial institutions and pension funds, today commented on the recommendation made by Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (“ISS”) to its clients regarding the proposed takeover of TMX Group by London Stock Exchange Group plc (“LSE”).

CFTC Announces Members Of The Technology Advisory Subcommittee On Data Standardization - Subcommittee Will Look Into Public/Private Solutions For Creating Well-Accepted Standards For Describing, Communicating, And Storing Data On Complex Financial Products

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has selected the members of the Subcommittee on Data Standardization, a new Subcommittee of the CFTC’s Technology Advisory Committee. The Subcommittee will report its recommendations to the full Technology Advisory Committee.

Speech By SEC Commissioner Troy A. Paredes: Statement At Open Meeting To Adopt A Final Rule Excluding A "Family Office" From The Definition Of "Investment Adviser"

Thank you, Chairman Schapiro.
By excluding a “family office” from the definition of “investment adviser,” Section 409 of the Dodd-Frank Act works to exempt “family offices” from the Investment Advisers Act. Dodd-Frank directs the Commission to define “family office” for purposes of the new family office exclusion from “investment adviser.” The recommendation before us is to do just that: to adopt a final rule to define “family office.”

On June 22-23, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held its annual consultations on managing public debt “Legacy of the Crisis: Long Term Implications for Managing Sovereign Risk, Government Balance Sheets, and Debt Management”. The event held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, was co-hosted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea.
